Words

Language is just a medium to express feelings and views. So the expression of things is not limited to language or in blunt words "Expression is not dependent on language."

But each language holds its own complexities. Grammar , synonyms , antonyms , genders and what not. If a person is good looking then to express this thing in English we must take into consideration his/her gender because if I'll use the wrong word people will think that I am an ignorant person.

But why do I need to think hundred times before speaking or writing in any language? Why do I need to learn a single language for years while I know that the significance of a language is just to pass my expression to others.

Can someone tell me that who made those grammar rules? And if you can answer that question then answer one more question , why are there so many exceptions in each and every rule? Who told that the spelling of psychology is psychology , why the hell there are silent alphabets?

Why we cannot ask for answers of these questions? We are just being a lamb and following what is being done. The people who standardized those words may have chosen the spellings and grammar rules of their own choice and now it has become prevalent and no one questions 'em.

What if I make a spelling error or a grammatical error while communicating? People will think that this fellow is not a learned one but why should I? I just want to convey my message and until I am successful in doing so why should I care about the rules and spellings.

If a person comes across a word which other people might not know and if in any communication he/she uses that word than the impact would be different. Come on words are just words why are we so much bothered about 'em?

Every word has umpteen number of synonyms. I do agree that depending upon the circumstances we have to use a synonym of the same word but why should we increase the complexity? Don't we already have enough complexities to deal with?

I am observing that now a days people have started using slangs in their day to day life. Many people are there who are severely criticizing this thing but I think that use of slang is a good thing. It saves time and space. The sole purpose of the words and language is satisfied , communication. Language is a man-made thing and man can at anytime change that according to his own comfort and convenience.

Yes, surely we'll find people including me who say that we must use our mother tongue as a medium of communication, but why? Why we become emotionally attached to those man-made things? We don't know which language do God speak so there is no spiritual angle in the use of language. You are not being infidel while using any language other than your mother tongue.

People communicate even without words so why we are being dependent on and influenced by the words. Just imagine that how much time of your life you have spent to mug up spellings and grammar rules. How much time you have to invest to traverse the pages of the dictionary? And then think that what have you finally achieved after this investment? Just a few more words!!
